J.A. Delgadillo is a New York based photographer originally from Northern California. He has been practicing photography for two decades. His love for photography comes from his background in cinema, including a B.A. from the University of California, Davis and graduate work at San Francisco State University—where he focused on the materiality and temporality of celluloid. Delgadillo works with digital and 35mm film and has photographed events professionally on both formats. His personal works focuses on the daily lives of people in urban environments from California to Tokyo.
“…photography is an ellipse of language and a condensation of an ‘ineffable’ society…”- Roland Barthes, Mythologies
